Privacy & website analytics

This notice covers the public sales pages at cemeteryonline.rip and civicsoft.co.uk. Council workspaces and their cemetery records are separate.

Your analytics choice

Optional analytics starts only when you select Allow analytics. No thanks leaves it off. You can change your choice at any time using Analytics preferences in the website footer. We also respect Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control browser preferences.

We remember your choice in a first-party preference cookie, cs_analytics_choice, for up to 180 days. It contains only allow or deny. Each website keeps its own choice.

What we measure

For opted-in visits, we record the website, visit date and time, referring hostname where supplied, device category, browser and operating system, approximate city/region/country, sections viewed, active viewing time, maximum scroll depth and a small set of actions such as opening a screenshot or requesting a demo.

Each landing visit receives a random visit ID. We do not identify your name, follow you between the two domains, record what you type, or store your raw IP address or precise coordinates in analytics. Repeat visits and reloads count separately. Approximate location comes from network information supplied by our hosting provider and can reflect a network operator or VPN.

How we use and retain it

Civicsoft Ltd uses these figures to understand interest in the software and improve these websites. Reports are restricted to authorised Civicsoft super-admins. Data is processed through our existing Vercel hosting and Supabase database, rather than an advertising analytics service. Reports cover a rolling 90-day window; older visit records are deleted when new analytics is collected or a report is opened.

Withdrawing analytics stops collection and requests removal of the current page's recorded visit. Other visits are not linked to your identity and are not matched to information submitted through the demo form.

Demo enquiries

The details you enter in the demo form are sent to Civicsoft so we can respond to your request. They are not copied into the analytics dashboard. Contact us at support@civicsoft.co.uk with privacy questions or requests relating to information you have supplied.
